If the Income Verification fails, it could be due to several reasons:
- The applicant entered incorrect login credentials.
- The applicant's bank requires additional authentication (e.g., a PIN or text verification).
- The applicant opted not to share their bank information electronically.
- The applicant’s bank is not supported by our vendor, Decision Logic.
In such cases, applicants can either try again by receiving a new screening order or provide alternative documentation, such as paper bank statements, outside the platform.
If the applicant's bank is not listed, they can click the "I don’t see my bank" option during the process to skip the Income Verification step. LeaseRunner will not charge for the Cash Flow Report in this case. Additionally, applicants who do not use online banking can select “Skip, I don’t have online banking” to proceed without being charged for the report.
The applicant's financial data is retrieved using Instant Account Verification, which operates with bank-level security. During the process:
- The applicant enters their online banking credentials directly into their bank's login screen.
- The bank then verifies the login and securely provides read-only financial data, including cash flow and income trends, to LeaseRunner.
- No sensitive login credentials are stored by LeaseRunner, and all data is formatted into an easy-to-read Cash Flow Report.
